PracticePro Privacy Policy

PracticePro is a practice-planning and practice-tracking app for musicians. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information Stored On Your Device

PracticePro can store your practice items, sessions, goals, daily plans, practice flows, audition-prep recordings, musicianship axes, profile details and portraits, selected spaces, preferences, and widget summary data on your device. Guest use is local-first.

Optional Account Sync

If you create or sign in to an account, PracticePro uses Firebase Authentication for sign-in and Firebase Firestore to sync supported app data associated with your account. Synced data can include practice sessions, practice items, spaces, daily plans, musicianship axes, and sync metadata. Audition-prep audio files stay local to your device unless a future version explicitly adds an audio sync feature and asks for consent. PracticePro does not sell this data.

Purchases

PracticePro Plus purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit and the App Store. PracticePro receives purchase entitlement status from Apple so the app can unlock Plus features. Payment details are handled by Apple.

Calendar, Notifications, Microphone, Photos, Camera, and Location

• Calendar access is optional and is used only for Calendar Sync and calendar-aware practice prompts.
• Notifications are optional and are used for Practice Signals, break reminders, Musician Care, and calendar-aware prompts.
• Microphone access is optional. Practice Check-In can analyze live volume on your device without recording or saving audio, and Audition Prep can record excerpt runs or mock auditions when you choose.
• Photo library and camera access are optional and are used for profile portraits, practice story exports, and custom space backgrounds.
• Approximate location is optional and is used for Journey to resolve a coarse city for anonymous city-level activity.

Journey Community Data

Journey is designed around broad city-level activity. PracticePro does not publish your name, exact location, profile, individual sessions, exact timestamps, or exact durations. Public Journey activity uses thresholded city/day aggregates such as practicing now, practiced time today, broad activity, and time-of-day buckets.

Optional Friends

Friends is free but requires a verified account and a separate, explicit opt-in. If you join, PracticePro stores the social display name you confirm, your instrument only if you choose to share it, your activity visibility choice, mutual friend relationships, blocks, invitations, and preset cheers. If activity sharing is on, the app publishes only a current practiced-today value, trailing-seven-day minutes and practice-day count, streak, and update time. It does not publish your practice sessions, repertoire, recordings, exact practice times, activity history, local profile photo, or messages.

Invitation links are intended for one person, expire after seven days, and store only a cryptographic hash of the invite token on the server. Cheers expire after 30 days. Leaving Friends permanently deletes your Friends profile, invitations, relationships, blocks, and cheers without deleting your PracticePro account or practice history. Deleting your PracticePro account also schedules this social data for removal.

Analytics

PracticePro uses Firebase Analytics without advertising identifier support to understand basic app usage and reliability, such as app launch, screen, onboarding, and Focus session events. Analytics is not used for third-party advertising.

Account Deletion

Signed-in users can request account deletion in PracticePro from Settings > Profile. Deleted accounts are marked for cleanup, and associated tracked app data is removed after the cleanup period used by the backend.

Children

PracticePro is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information through PracticePro, use the support page below to request deletion.

Changes

This policy may be updated when PracticePro changes its features, services, or data practices. The updated date above will change when this page changes.
